Built and run by one person.

Stockkeep is an inventory management and costing app for Shopify, made by Stockroom Labs. Write to support@stockkeep.app and you reach me, not a ticket queue.

What Stockkeep is

Shopify records what you paid the supplier, not what the stock cost you. Freight, duty and handling arrive on a different invoice from the goods, so they never reach unit cost, and every margin you read is flattering. Stockkeep spreads those charges across the purchase order, averages them into the cost you carry, and keeps the history of every change.

It does weighted-average cost, landed cost, full-location stocktakes, Code 128 barcode labels from the purchase order, a daily record of what the stock was worth and a supplier price check, free. Reorder points are $25 a month and the month-end close is $49 a month, each with a 14-day trial.

Why it exists

Stocky, the inventory app Shopify gave Retail merchants for years, is being retired. Shopify’s migration guide covers purchase orders and receiving with native features. For weighted-average costing, landed cost, full-location stocktakes and label printing, it sends merchants to the App Store. Stockkeep is those four things, plus a daily record of what the stock was worth, and nothing else. Being narrow is deliberate. Cost arithmetic is the part nobody notices is wrong until the stock is valued at year end.

How it works with Shopify

You install it from the Shopify App Store, like any other app, on the free plan with no card. It asks Shopify for five access scopes: read products, read locations, read inventory, write inventory and read orders. It never asks for customer names, emails or addresses, payments or checkout, so it can’t read them. It writes only when you receive a purchase order or post a stocktake, and what it writes is inventory quantities, inventory item costs, and stocking an item at the location you receive or count it into. Billing goes through Shopify, so it appears on the Shopify bill you already pay.

How to reach me

Email support@stockkeep.app. If your question is quicker to show than to type, say so and I will get on a call and walk through your own store with you. That offer is not a sales call and it does not run out. The contact page says what to include.
